Back to Watching Television Shows: Dyosa, Lalola and Survivor Philippines
By Mommy Woobie on Nov 10, 2008 in Mommy Thoughts, Philippines
One of the benefits of quitting my former job at Inno is getting to watch television again!
This is one pleasure that I really missed. it’s time to catch up on the who’s who in pinoy showbiz, and some news stories that I would rather not hear about.
In particular, I have been following the melamine scare reports just because we buy a lot of products with milk in them. Lately, there isn’t much news about what other products have been tested (the sunflower crackers one really freaked me out), and most of the patrons of Starbucks would be happy to note that they now serve “Coffee mate” instead of their usual milk…. Note that it wasn’t stated clearly over the news networks that Starbucks was the coffee shop in question, but the immediate pulling out of the free milk in Starbucks condiments counters is really TELLING.
I watch the really good US television series on my PC (downloaded from the net), like Las vegas, Entourage and House; but my prime time is dominated by pinoy tv shows.
In particular….
Dyosa – This Anne curtis starer makes me wonder how Sam and Anne can handle working together even when they have split up already (YES, they have split up!)
Lalola – Ok, turn Lola back to Lalo again so I can see the hottie, Wendell in a suit again!
Suvivor Philippines – Hmm, this one is really a habit now. Go on over to the pinoy sole survivor site and guess whose site that is. Pinoys really play Survivor in a different manner compared to westerners… For one, more tears are shed *just because*… and a lot more drama is involved. Coupled with the pinoy acting flair, these participants really make the reality show worth watching…
I generally skip Betty Lafea because I dislike how John Lloyd gains weight every single episode. And, the Carmen Soo-Jericho Rosales teledrama… I skip it too… out of spite.
