How Do You Market an Online Business Offline?
It’s the season to be jolly and more than one business has sent stuff to me already. Banks, supermarkets, my regular salon and many more. Free useful stuff are some of the best ones to send loyal customers during the holidays, and this strategy, I think will work for an online business like that of blog building and freelance work.
You don’t even need a logo, just your www domain name. For example, you could give friends and family members mousepads with your domain name and people will spend time glancing at it all day. Or even better, promotional pens, promotional cups or time pieces… things that people glance at or use on a daily basis. I must admit, I thought of printing out t-shirts because they always get ogled during traffic inside busses.
These are unusual places for ads, but they work well enough. Maybe “unused places” is a more fitting term. It just takes a small space to get one line out there. Mundane things that have blank spaces can be seen as an opportunity to get your brand out there. I’m fairly new at branding so this is a bit foreign to me, but you know what? I’m excited!
