Products that Didn’t Make the Christmas Shopping List and Why
I am the kind of mom who wants to buy a plethora of toys to encourage her son’s creativity and imagination. I am also the kind of mom who works online and will touch the keyboard rather than the broom or the cleaning detergent when she wakes up in the morning. Some good toys are really fun for kids, but will contribute to mommy stress, like…
1. Poster Paint – I want my son to start painting, but considering the fact that he is unrepentant of his previous house-painting attempts, this product was shooed away for this Christmas season. I know a few oldies who will frown at this (hubby’s mom said “I don’t care if your house looks like Rainbow Brite, i want my grandson to learn!), but for now spraying color all over the walls is a no-no. Maybe when he’s older and has learned the basics of “clean up”.
2. custom rubber stamp
– same thing. What’s going to stop this little boy from stamping on everything with his new stamp designs? None. He can smile his way to forgiveness and can definitely win mom over even when he has just stamped her cheek with santa’s face.
In a few months, I will buy these things, but for now….
No.
