White is the New Yellow

The kiddie television shows, the kiddie books and everything else that aims to educate kids should really update their info according to global conditions.

Maybe you’re thinking, what brought that on? Well, it’s simply the way the kiddie shows depict light bulbs in yellow, not in white. We don’t have yellow light bulbs at home anymore, because we are trying to save on electricity. Our gate light used to have a yellow bulb but we did away with that when we realized how an all-nighter 50-Watter can drain our pockets with the additional energy consumption. So, now every light bulb at home is white.

Now, if only I ca figure out a way to tell my 3 year old that we don’t use yellow light bulbs like they do in the cartoons because it’s more economical to use white light bulbs.

Whenever we bathe AJ, he would look up and say “ye-ow” like the educational tv shows teach. The problem is, our bathroom light isn’t “ye-ow”, it’s “white”.
