The Value of Saving Computer Data Just in Case
What is an internet entrepreneur’s scariest PC problem? Data loss. We (hubby and I) have both experienced this kind of scary moment this month. I got a virus and he got a hardware damaging monster virus. As I write this, th hubby and his bro are hard at work. They’re taking laptop things apart and looking for some more hardware problems. They’re testing everything and they’re using some potent antivirus thingies.
I can’t really do anything except cook them some snacks and serve drinks. Is it really that obvious that I don’t know much about saving computer data in an external hard drive and cleaning up registries? My own reaction to my data loss was more dramatic. Hubby rolls with the punches while I cry my heart out before I roll with the punches.
One thing we learned however is this: if you’re going to use a computer outside (like in a computer shop or an i-cafe), clean the USB you used first before attempting to transfer data from the USB to your home PC. Some computer shops don’t invest on good antivirus software which results in data loss and tears (in my case).
