Safety at Home: Check Labels Carefully
We all know how some drugs from back when we were kids were phased out and replaced with new drugs. Technology and time has made us more aware of how things change. The most recent new-improved formulation might be the next one phased out in a few years and we will never know why.
This is the dilemma of moms then and now. We are powerless to stop technology, but we must always trust that we are making the best decisions. If you’re anything like me, I can see you checking and rechecking labels and expiry dates on medicine bottles before you even buy them. We don’t even stop there, we check everything from toy labels to packed lunches.
If you do all these and go the distance, congratulations. We really need to be more vigilant when it comes to children safety. It’s a small, small thing to do for our kids, and while we never want to see them sick, these happen frequently when they expose themselves to dirt, smut and dust.
My habit of checking active ingredients, from dietpills (Apidexin) to herbal supplements, to the more complicated drugs, has served me well. Get into the habit of checking ingredients and buying only from trusted pharmacies.
