The Flu Epidemic Cases are Rising in the Philippines (and other worries)
Much as Filipino moms don’t want to worry about sickness or invisible dangers that our kids might face we are left with no choice. The swine flu is here in the Philippines, and it’s time to be more aware of our health habits and sanitation. Geez my son’s schooling is about to start and I still cannot deal with this level of anxiety. Every evening I and hubby would watch the news hoping for some development in terms of the way our government is dealing with the cases to prevent outbreaks. And every night we see the numbers are rising.
We can only wish the health department does something to calm our nerves. Besides the deadly flu, the government still needs to deal with dengue problems, congested traffic, slippery roads and the alarming absence of qualified teachers in schools (we heard most have become nurses now). Nevertheless we are still hopeful that things will be better. With prayers and an optimistic attitude I guess we can get by.
