The Costs of Getting Older
By Ruby on Jun 13, 2009 in Mommy Thoughts
I’ve said this in the past and I’m saying it again… I should have enjoyed my skin more when I was younger. Don’t get me wrong, I took care of my skin then, but somehow it was never as difficult as it is now. For starters, I never really used anything other than water, mild soap and baby oil, but my skin during my college years and early twenties recovered faster than I can now imagine.
During my early twenties, I was able to stay up all night without worrying about the damage on my skin. Now, however, I never thought my skin will get affected if I didn’t wash with astringent, and some wrinkle cream. Also, the astringent I used then didn’t work anymore. Now, I use the ’stronger’ types, which were also available then but I preferred the milder ones.
RE: Vitamin E. It’s pretty amazing how a bit of vitamin E cleansing could improve my skin. I took it for granted in the past but now it has become a necessity. I guess it’s true what they say: when you get older, you find more ways to earn cash, but you also find more things to spend on.
