His mom, Marie-Dominique Kolega, gave this statement: “”My son was frightened but he did not lose an eye,” Her 18-year-old son was injured a piece of glass when the Iphone screen shattered on his hands. Apparently, hissing sounds were heard coming from the Iphone before the explosion.

This is a first report involving the Iphone but allegedly, there have been similar incidents reported with the iPod. The gadgets did not cause serious injuries, and overheated lithium batteries were the ones being blamed. Apple recently changed their battery technology, so is your Iphone or Ipod using this new technology?

This news should worry moms all over the globe because most users are kids, and parents aren’t always around to hear the hissing sound or the explosion. Maybe the solution is to encourage our kids to use Iphone cases or to tell them that they have to refrain from using the gadget 24/7.
