Kids Never Outgrow Cars
My son LOVES the movie Cars. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Proof of this is the growing collection of matchbox cars, hot weels mini-cars and toy tracks in various states of disarray at home. Some toy cars are “parked” on the dining table nightly, while some are arranged by color near the door. This obsession with cars started with the McQueen movie that my son watched years ago. I never expected him to still like the movie now.
I showed AJ this video and he went nuts, like he’s seeing his old friends again. I didn’t get the same reaction with the Finding Nemo video flick (he yawned through it). Shrek was met with a cold stare. One time I bought a magazine about cars just to test if he’s into the real thing and not just the car versions with eyes and mouth on them… and guess what? He was crazy over the auto accessories I showed him on the magazine and online.
I also noticed how he loves looking at how cars move. He plays with his toy cars often enough and I observe him accelerating and slowing down periodically just to watch how the tires look while the cars are decelerating or accelerating.
Thank goodness toy cars are cheaper than model airplanes.
