Thoughts On Working Towards a Goal
As you continue to move from a meager salary to a bigger one, your needs change. Most of the time the need to document these changes add to the gratification that you are at least succeeding and getting closer to your goals. Looking at small changes in your lifestyle as well as your priorities is a sign that you’re doing something good, and now you’re stepped up your game and considering the things that you never thought about before; things like investments, bonds, t-bills, bank accounts, premiums on whole life insurance plans… you name it.
If like me you have been an employee for a long time (well, I was one for 8 years before I quit to work online), your working patterns as well as your lifestyle has taken on a routine. Go to work, commute daily, get paid, pay bills… and so on. Most of the time, the idea of working doesn’t have a meaning anymore. It is just a means to an end. It’s the goal that keeps you going, and keeps you wanting to work in a dreary office all day.
Investing and buying things for the future are a huge part of working towards a goal, and if you have already, congratulations. You’re documenting your personal progress.
