Summer Working Out? But It’s Too Hot!
Summer is said to be the best time to work out because you can go running, take long walks and go swimming. But the heat gives me a headache, and around here, it does more than that. The baby played for 5 minutes outside, in the shade, and he still got sun burnt (maybe he went out of the shade several times while I wasn’t looking). Frankly, the whole summer workout thing is extremely stressful but it can be done!
Exercise in the Morning.
During the colder months, we’re much more likely to cut back or cut out exercise. But summer is no different. If you’re lazy, the weather becomes just another excuse not to exercise right? So I do my stretching and moving about while the sun’s still waking up so that I won’t get scorched.
Getting your heart rate up early in the day sets the pace. Around here, we don’t have 24 hour gyms, so we make do with fresh morning air and puttering about in our backyards. But if you can, go to the gym. Playing outside with the kids, or even just walking to and from the marketplace to buy lunch ingredients help me learn how to reduce belly fat, or at least trim off a small amount of the bulge around the waistline.
