Owning or renting a condominium unit these days can be the most practical way to live. Use furnishings that can double as decorative items. For instance your main room can have a decorative mirror that is also functional enough for you to use it as a real mirror (where you stand in front of when you put on make up). Surfaces can also be multipurpose. Your kitchen countertop can be the place where you eat breakfast.

If things can be placed on the wall, tack them up. Electric fans and televisions can be placed high up on the wall so that you don’t have to reserve wall space or floor space for them. Your bed can double as a sofa for easier access, especially if your room is a studio.
